WHO WE ARE

HI, I’M TESS

Originally from St. Louis, Missouri, I now call Bailey, Colorado home, where I live with my husband, four dogs, and two goats. Colorado has become a place of deep belonging for me, and much of my free time is spent immersed in nature—the very space where my own healing journey with trauma began.

From the start of my career in psychotherapy, I have been drawn to a humanistic, relationship-centered approach that honors the whole person. Realizing I could build a practice that weaves together my passion for helping others with my connection to nature has been both grounding and inspiring.

Through the quiet wisdom of nature and the unconditional presence of animals, I have found strength, growth, and empowerment in places where I once felt pain. This lived experience shapes my work and my vision—to offer others what I once longed for: a sanctuary for healing, connection, and hope.

I work with ADULTS who are struggling with the following…

  • Anxiety is a natural response to stress, but when it becomes constant or overwhelming, it can interfere with daily life. It may show up as excessive worry, restlessness, or physical symptoms like a racing heart. With the right support and tools, anxiety can be managed and reduced.

  • Depression is a common mental health condition that affects how a person feels, thinks, and functions. It can lead to ongoing sadness, fatigue, and a loss of interest in things once enjoyed. While it can feel overwhelming, depression is treatable with the right support.

  • Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) and trauma can develop after experiencing or witnessing a deeply distressing event. They may lead to flashbacks, emotional numbness, heightened alertness, or avoidance of reminders. Healing is possible through supportive, trauma-informed care that helps individuals process and reclaim a sense of safety.

  • Coping skills are strategies and techniques people use to manage stress, emotions, and challenging situations. They can be healthy tools like deep breathing, exercise, or talking to someone, and help build resilience and emotional balance in everyday life.

  • Grief is a natural emotional response to loss, often involving sadness, confusion, anger, or longing. It’s a deeply personal process that can come in waves and take time. With support and space to heal, grief can lead to meaningful reflection and emotional growth.

  • Life transitions are periods of change that can feel disorienting, overwhelming, or emotionally heavy—even when they’re positive. This type of support helps you navigate major changes—like career shifts, relationship changes, parenthood, or loss—with clarity, resilience, and a renewed sense of direction.

  • Relationship challenges can show up in many ways—constant conflict, feeling unheard, growing apart, rebuilding trust after betrayal, navigating intimacy concerns, or struggling to communicate needs clearly. They may also include differences in values, parenting styles, life goals, or managing stress together. We can help by creating a safe, neutral space to unpack patterns, improve communication, set healthy boundaries, process hurt, and strengthen emotional connection.
